WHAT IS WORKING WITH A THERAPEUTIC COACH LIKE?

 

Therapeutic Coaching combines the solution based goal oriented approach of coaching, with the empathic, non-judgemental insight of therapy. Coaching and psychotherapy both work to deepen self-awareness, but they are different in approach. Coaching is future focussed whereas Psychotherapy explores past experience, reflecting upon and processing it. Working with a Therapeutic Coach involves a bit of both.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERAPEUTIC COACHING AND LIFE COACHING?

Coaching is a dynamic, goal based process for those looking for support in accomplishing their goals and living the life they desire. If you want to set goals, there is some accountability on your part because when you are chasing your dreams you have to take action. Working with a Coach offers you clarity and focus - the anti-dote to overwhelm. Clarity and focus are vital in keeping you on track so that you actually do the things you need to do in order to progress.

 HOW QUICKLY DOES CHANGE HAPPEN?

 

Coaching is a process of discovery to stimulate change, so in sessions we work empower you with a greater sense of self-awareness, clarity and purpose. No two clients are the same and all bring differing issues. The work we do is an investment in your own self development - the more energy, effort and thought you put in, the more you get out. Personal growth takes honest reflection, courage and action, it is not always easy. It is a chance to take a deep dive within yourself and learn about you. This is the catalyst for change because change begins inside of you, not outside of you. You are the key to the change you seek, which is a fundamental truth to explore within the context of your life.

 

There is also a therapeutic element to the work because ultimately this is about you and your needs - your experiences, patterns and beliefs (many of which are unconscious) and how this impacts upon your choices, relationships, hopes and wishes. This is honoured in Therapeutic Coaching sessions, which a place of non-judgement. Every person is unique and the process is tailored to you. We will work together to free you any from regret, self-doubt or negative thinking thats blocking your progress whilst always talking into account your emotional well-being.
